Mr.
A. L. Smith-Maxwell (or Mr. "Archie" Smith-Maxwell)
has provided several of the first Bluefaced Leicester rams
for semen collection that now are available for use in the
United States. He is the force behind the exceptional history
of the Beeston flock at Welland Farm. He is well versed in
animal husbandry of many kinds, including horses, pigeons,
chickens and cattle. Both he and his wife, Patricia, take
great pleasure in the fact that the Welland Farm horses have
been excelling at the race track, clearly demonstrating his
ability to produce quality stock across the board.
